Who We Are

Peakview's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is comprised of volunteer parents, teachers, and administrators who are passionate about positively impacting your child's education.

Alaina Allen
​President
​Alaina joined the PTO board this year after finding a sense of community at Peakview while volunteering.  She is the mother of two girls, in 1st grade and kindergarten.  Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, Alaina worked for 10 years in pediatric intensive care as a Respiratory Therapist.  Alaina has a life-long love of learning, and can often be found reading, hiking, and crafting in her free time.  She looks forward to helping our corner of Cherry Creek through the PTO, to enable learning opportunities for all students.

Pamela Essex
Co-Vice President 

This is Pam’s 1st time serving on the PTO board. She’s a stay-at-home mom of “Irish Twin” boys, Liam (4th Grade) and Killian (3rd Grade) who have been at Peakview since preschool in 2016 and has been married to her husband, John, for 22 years. Before becoming a mom, Pam ran an executive office suite for 13 years. You can usually find her at home with a book in her hand. Being a mom is by far her favorite job she’s ever had. She’s excited to be a part of the amazing Peakview community, helping enhance our children’s learning experience.

Laura Herdman
Treasurer

Laura has lived in Colorado off and on for the past 10 years; she came back permanently in 2019.  Laura works as a Payroll Specialist full time, as well as a Travel Agent part time.  Last year she joined the Peakview Elementary PTO as the Treasurer and remains in that position this year.  She is married with 2 kids, Piper will be an incoming 3rd grader and Cayla will be going into 7th grade.  Laura loves to go hiking in the mountains, travel, read and spend time with her family.

Andrea Finkbiner
Co-Vice President

​This is Andrea’s first year serving as the Co-Vice President for the Peakview PTO.  She has a daughter in second grade and a son in fourth grade.  This will be their third year attending Peakview. The Finkbiner family enjoys the outdoors and are always up for adventures, no matter the location. Andrea is excited about contributing and becoming more engaged within the Peakview community.


Myra Rust
Secretary

​This is my second year as a Peakview parent and first year serving on the PTO Board. I’m excited to be more involved in creating a fun educational experience for our kids while also building strong relationships with our educators and community. My daughter is in first grade this year and she loves her school and I’m proud of that. We also love hiking, swimming, playing with our dog, and doing just about anything fun! Let’s have some fun this year!
